Ed set the June Challenge whilst on holiday in Aberdovey. With only a month to go, the team had to do as many miles as possible and should include back to back 80 milers!

Gareth, Adam and Will Bish went to the next level of training and did a mammoth ride in Worcestershire / Gloucestershire / Warwickshire trying to replicate JOGLE Day 1

They did 130 miles and nearly 7,000 ft of climbing on a red hot day. It was a brutal ride with many lessons learnt on fuelling and hydration but it was great to get it under their belts.

Dan.jpeg

Dan had a couple of tough rides where he started flagging so he took the decision to seek help!

Dan went to see Dr Gary Palmer’s team at Sports Test who pushed Dan through his paces to get him ready and set him up with a training program.

A number of the team kept on getting punctures and maintenance issues (Will Biddell) so Sam of Copperhead Cycle Workshop came down to take us through bike mechanics.

Sadly he couldn’t teach Will not to cycle over rocks.

Lake V 1.jpg

The team managed to get their back to back 80 miles in towards the end of the month which included an amazing Sportive around Lake Vyrnwy and up part of Snowdonia national park!

Some amazing views and brutal climbs but great practice for JOGLE.

End Challenge Results.jpg

Here is the final results for the June challenge with a huge amount of miles clocked up!
