MAUL TOGETHER - AWARENESS RIDE
We’re hitting the road for some great causes close to our hearts. Over 2 days and 200 miles, Maul Together will be taking on an awareness ride in support of three incredible charities:
Matt Hampson Foundation
My Name’5 Doddie Foundation
4ED (Gloucester Rugby Foundation)
Starting at the Bridgnorth EDG, we’ll cycle to the Matt Hampson Foundation, then press on to Kingsholm Stadium, home of Gloucester Rugby — uniting the rugby community every mile of the way.
2 Days - 200 Miles - 7,300ft Elevation
This ride isn’t just about the distance — it’s about raising awareness for the inspirational work these charities do in the fight against life-changing injuries and MND.

(See weight above) Watching the bbc interviews with Rob Burrows and Doddie Weir. It makes you realise how fortunate we are to have our health and the ability to attempt something like this. After retiring from the game it’s very easy to slip into a “tomorrow will do “ attitude towards health and fitness. Hopefully we can help some people who have had that choice taken away from them.

Cycling Experience: Apart from doing JOGLE I hadn’t really cycled and since JOGLE I didn’t touch a bike again for 2 years!!
Reason For Doing The Challenge: I’ve never done anything like this before but I’m always up for a challenge and knowing we are doing something for those in need makes me even more competitive! Rugby is a team sport so I’m looking forward to me and this team of mates tackling this together and raising much needed money for some great causes.

Reason For Doing The Challenge: I’m participating in JOGLE to firstly, challenge myself mentally and physically, secondly to spend some quality time with the lads, and finally to raise money for those in need of a little help... If by simply turning my legs, I can turn around somebody’s day/week/month, then it totally worth it!
